Designed by Peter Opsvik in 1979, Variable balans is the original knee-support chair.
This classic of Varier gently tilts the pelvis forward and encourages a natural, dynamic and upright posture of the spine.
The abdominal and back muscles are engaged in keeping the spine erect and the body balanced, which strengthens them helping to prevent strain on the back and shoulders.
The angle between the upper and lower parts of the body increases, improving circulation. When the body moves from an active to a relaxed position, the flexible skates react with a gentle pendulum motion.
The optional backrest offers additional support if needed.
